Schweizer for sale

The company Schweizer Metal Aircraft Company was founded back in 1930 year brothers Ernest, Paul and William Shvejcerami. In the same year was the first schoolboy, but quite successful glider flight SGP 1-1. 9 years later, the company moved to the city of Elmira in the U.S. State of New York and changed its name to Schweizer Aircraft Corporation. For many years the company worked on the various models of gliders, whether civilian or military equipment. The years 1980 Schweizer aircraft were a decent share of the entire AIR FORCE of America.

Once is not transferred to the name of the Russian helicopters Schweizer: and “Schweitzer” and “Schweitzer” and Swiss … I’m more impressed by “the doorman”, not as “watchmen when the front doors (doorways)”, and “soldier hired guard of French kings”, just like wing musketeer.

Recently the company Sikorsky Global Helicopters noted the 25-year anniversary of their pet-S-300 c helicopter. Before five years ago (2004 г.) Igor Sikorsky Corporation took the decision to expand its helicopter business in the sector of light machines, Sikorsky Global Helicopters bore the name Schweizer Aircraft Corp., in turn, Schweizer bought a license for 300 c Hughes Aircraft Company and moved production from California to your factory Horseheads (New York). The first helicopter was delivered to Police Department Baltimore June 24, 1984 year. Since then, more than 2700 helicopters (100 helicopters per year). Impressive results. Above only “Robbie” (Robinson).

A quarter of a century is a lot or a little? For any helicopter programs, and all the more so easy is a serious age. Behind children’s diseases, testing for strength, market recognition, reputation of a safe vehicle. In short, for “training school” is an undeniable success.

Despite his fragile appearance, for 25 years, “Doormen” have proved their reliability and durability. 300 c’s were used in the army of United States and other countries for monitoring and training preparation. Commercial operators of helicopters used for training, private transport and even as the primary means of locomotion on the ranch. The commercial version of the 300 c appeared in 1995 year. In the year 2002 300 c replaced 300CBi (injector). The company has not rested on its laurels and constantly strove for perfection and expanded lineup. At the beginning of the new century, the S-300 c, S-S-300CBi and S-333 434 so confidently laid out a field of light helicopters, that even such a successful company like Sikorsky, working closely with the Ministry of defence, imbued with the certainty that using the “S” family will be able to expand its share of the market, not only at manned light machines, but unmanned. In its twenty-five program in the prime of life and opportunities, and with such a tug like Sikorsky, for it has no borders, no insurmountable obstacles.

It is clear that “Swiss” could not fly past of Russia, all the more so because such light helicopters, we have never had, as a class. When in the early 1990 ‘s introduced the first machines in its desire to promote dealers were ready for anything: “coffee, tea, fly”? Even famous television presenter and aviation fan Leonid Yakubovich planted in the cab and took on a circle in Moscow. However, for various reasons, “Doormen” not taken root in Russia. The appearance of the “baby” was misleading. This is not a toy, but a real helicopter. Outcome of the first voyage 300С to Russia turned out to be disastrous. New Russian broken all helicopters and transported to Ukraine. But the story of Russian “Doormen” in my opinion, is not finished, it is likely that after the opening of the airspace and lifting the helicopter services market, possibly the second coming of simple, durable and reliable light helicopter and one of the best training platforms for primary education. By the way, known all over the world for Bristow Aviation Academy this year added to its Park of 48 S-300CBi six machines. In the best of times (1995-2010) Park totalled more than 100 S-300CB and S-300CBi. Since 1987, the year the Academy prepared a 2000 helicopter pilots who are flying today worldwide. When used for primary education 12-ton machine with an hour fuel consumption, commensurate with a takeoff weight of the helicopter (!), just right to think and carefully examine “were imposed on the doormen. And what the hell is not joking: “bye, shaking”, blades on the bushings.
